- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- Cream cheese frosting (recipe follows)
- In a bowl, combine sourdough discard, milk, sugar, melted butter, and salt.
- Add flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll up the dough tightly.
- Slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a baking dish.
- Let rise for 1-2 hours.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Frost with cream cheese frosting.
