- Onion: 1 large, chopped
- Carrots: 2 large, peeled and chopped
- Celery: 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Bay leaf: 1
- Salt: To taste
- Black pepper: To taste
- Egg noodles: 8 ounces
- Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)
- Place chicken in a large pot.
- Add water, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and bay leaf.
